Kool Keith Drops “Kool Kriminal” and “Sporty Nights (Uber Eats)”, Produced by Haji Outlaw
Legendary lyricist Kool Keith returns with two new singles, “Kool Kriminal” and “Sporty Nights (Uber Eats)”, produced by Haji Outlaw. The singles vacillate from a dark brooding track reminiscent of RZA on a John Carpenter movie score replete with vintage audio from a bygone era, to a haunting soul strut of an instrumental featuring vocal samples that both invite and perturb the listener. Kool Keith’s exploits are most noted as he’s been a lyric wizard since he hit the scene with the Ultramagnetic MC’s in the 1980’s.
Haji Outlaw is also quite enigmatic as his writing, comedy and production talents have travelled between Eric Andre, ebooks, Hannibal Buress, Comedy Central and Chris Crack. This is the first, but certainly not the last collaboration between Kool Keith and Haji Outlaw.
The 7” vinyl (colored) record will be available summer of 2023.
