Melbourne RnB Artist Shreta Drops Her New Single "did you think of us?"

Hailing from Melbourne, RnB soul-stress Shreta returns with a heartfelt single, ‘did you think of us?,’ evoking vulnerability and self-reflection.

The hauntingly beautiful single captures the moment of utter loss from a heart-break that questions ones worth and shines a light on past relationships through growth.

Shreta’s anecdotal lyrics and buttery vocals has her delivering yet another instantly hummable and thoroughly relatable anthem.

On the single Shreta said, “That vulnerable moment where you question your worth, we’ve all been there, even if we don’t always like to admit it. I wanted to capture that feeling,”

I want people who are in that very vulnerable place to know that it is a feeling we all experience through a break-up. We gotta feel that shit before we bounce back and remember who we are.

The South-Indian Australian-born artist cultivates her sounds and experiences from not only her cultural upbringing, but also with her life as an artist immersing herself in her home-town Melbourne. Her poetic lyrics are alluring and her relatability have led to notable success with global taste-makers such as Triple J, FBi Radio, Music Crowns and more.

Shreta managed by The Heavy Group (Bazzi, Kiana Ledé, Jay Sean) in early 2021 and has been working with top-notch producers in Los Angeles on her next batch of releases, starting with the hard hitting yet playful “Go Get her” featuring R&B rising star Phabo.

Produced by Mike Hector (Doja Cat, Kendrick Lemar) max & kyle (Travis Scott, Tinashe) and written alongside Bekah Novi.

Shreta’s feelings about being a female South Asian artist are strong. She wants to make it clear to others like her that you can make whatever kind of music you want to make and that being limited by what others might think is an idea of the past. She prides herself on stepping forward into the light and leading the way for other artists who might feel like haven’t been able to be authentically themselves just yet.
