Stefano Ark Shares His Brand New Track “You Want Me to Hush Hush?”
Stefano Ark is a talented artist and producer out of Manchester, UK, whose musical influences include Kendrick Lamar, Madonna and Prince. Stefano recently unveiled his song entitled “You Want Me to Hush Hush?”, which was self produced, and will be featured on his upcoming EP, due for release this summer.
“You Want Me to Hush Hush? gives a glimpse on what to expect from the EP sonically, which includes eerie sounds, a few rap heavy tracks and theatrical influences.
Speaking about the track, Stefano says — “Horror film foley is a big interest area of mine- when I visit the cinema or watch a film at home, I’m paying attention mostly to how sound is used to build suspense or invoke fear in the viewer .
The track was written, produced & recorded by myself. I put the instrumental together in an hour and recorded the vocals right after the same night.
I hadn’t worked on an instrumental before recording vocals. I changed my creative technique last year & began building instrumentals around Acapella vocals instead of composing the instrumental first.
I just relayed on to the mic as thoughts came to my mind, and had fun with it. I wanted to sound as cohesive but also as incoherent as I could so I didn't write any lyrics down before recording- just went with the flow of the instrumental & into character mode.
You Want Me to Hush Hush? Is most definitely a unique track- It’s one of the songs i’ve recorded, listened back to and thought “how did i come up with this and what was going through my head at the time” I wasn't sure on the song at first, i’m a perfectionist, but it’s now one of my fave productions.”
