Renowned Portland-based musician Michael Collins is the creative force behind Rooftop Screamers, which is his passion project, a studio endeavor that brilliantly combines his original songwriting with collaborations featuring both local and internationally acclaimed musicians, singers, and producers.
Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as The Beatles, Queen, David Bowie, Cheap Trick, ELO, and Crowded House, Rooftop Screamers delivers a unique blend of power-pop and alternative rock.
Michael Collins’ musical journey traces back to his roots as the drummer and founding member of the acclaimed Portland band Throwback Suburbia. With two albums under their belt, a self-titled release and “Shot Glass Souvenir” in 2009 and 2012, respectively, Collins established himself as an in- demand drummer and award-winning songwriter.
Collins draws inspiration from a diverse array of musical legends, citing influences such as David Bowie, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Steven Wilson, and Jeff Lynne.
