Shimizu Connects With Rosa Landers on “Down4U”

Brazilian producer and multi-instrumentalist Rafa Mura, under his music project Shimizu, has teamed up with Berlin-based singer and performer Rosa Landers to release their new single, "Down4U." A rhythmic and evocative blend of Afro House and 90s-inspired synths, "Down4U" takes listeners on a sonic journey of intense emotions, exploring the complexities of love, desire, and personal differences.

Down4U is more than just a dance track. Infused with Afro House beats and dreamy, vintage-style synths, the song tells a heartfelt story of two people in love who realize they want different things from life. Even though their affection is strong, they struggle to reconcile their individual needs. Still, there’s an undeniable magnetic pull between them, and despite their differences, the singer expresses, "Still I’m feeling down for you," underscoring the bittersweet theme of wanting to be together, no matter how uncertain the future may be.

This new single reflects Shimizu’s signature style of creating “sad songs to dance to”—a perfect fusion of emotional storytelling and energetic beats. With "Down4U," Shimizu continues to deliver a unique blend of analog and electronic music, creating a nostalgic yet modern soundscape that is at once groovy, melodic, and deeply emotive.
