Play Me Music Campaign Service
5 week campaign based around your single or 3 month campaign based around an EP/album.
First 3 weeks being spent sending your music out for premiere on as notable an outlet as possible. Do keep in mind that premieres are becoming less of value to writers and are not an indicator of how the rest of the campaign will go. The first three weeks will also be used to send your music to busier writers before release day to give them a heads-up and jockey for page space.
The following two weeks spent sending your music out for features, playlist adds (SoundCloud, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music) as well asking for interview requests and social media shout outs.
The contacts and mailing lists are tailored to genre/region and following, helping to make sure to get your music in front of the right ears.
Outreach size
Depending on genre, the outreach will be attempting 300-800 music writers, bloggers, influencers and playlist curators. There are more blogs in the world than that, however these are the filtered publications with notoriety.
Campaigns can vary depending upon the artist, and we are always happy to work alongside your needs/strategies. Although not guaranteed, if applicable, we are happy to set up introductions with A&R’s, creative agencies, artist collabs/features and radio promoters in our network. While actively working with Play Me, we look to assist your career in other fields of the industry besides PR when opportunities arise.
SubmitHub/MusoSoup and similar
Your music will be pitched/utilized on these sites and the cost is built into the campaign service fee. If you as the artist choose to also utilize these, that is more than welcome. Some advantages of having us work these sites for you is a strong familiarity with the process, already established writer relationships and a PR account which allows us to resolve issues with curators in an extremely timely manner.
Paid Partnerships
As of the past four years, roughly 35 percent of music publications have turned to a “paid partnership” model in order to stay viable financially after ad-rates have lessened on websites. Paid partnerships are most prevalent in the worlds of EDM and Hip Hop.
Paid partnerships are tricky to navigate as an independent artist as scams can be prevalent.
Partnership opportunities may not be worth the investment, while others can be extremely beneficial to your career. In the event of paid partnership offers, we will bring them to you with our opinion on their value. Ultimately, paid partnerships are an additional push outside of your campaign fee and it is recommended to set aside a budget for beneficial opportunities.
Agency Commitment
PR campaigns are based on a campaign to campaign basis for both artist and agency. You are not in an exclusive representation relationship.
