Flevans Reveals His Latest Track “Wild Shadows”
Early 2023 saw Flevans release his 7th LP 'A Short Distance To Fall' - returning to some of the styles and sounds that he loved in his early production days, the instrumental LP was critically acclaimed and garnered repeat radio plays in the UK from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Gilles Peterson, Craig Charles and The Blessed Madonna.
The follow up album 'Stand Tall' is already in the bag and due for a 2024 release on Jalapeno Records – and we are proud to present a taster of the new LP, the beautiful and melancholy “Wild Shadows”.
Flevans tells us..
“Wild Shadows” is one of the more introspective tracks from my new LP and one that has existed in one format or another for a couple of years. I kept going back to it knowing that there was something magical about the orchestral parts of the track but couldn’t quite get it to click until I stumbled across the vocal sample which finally had enough soul and emotional heft to bring the track to life.
Heft, presence, beauty, emotion… call it what you want but this track has it in spades!
