NN Music Video of the Week: “Puddle of Power” by Sanity Clause
Sanity Clause is Sacramento, CA based electronic, psychedelic, weird two-piece band consisting of Ryan Knox and Casey Slowjay. With Ryan primarily focusing on lyrics, vocals and animations, and Casey primarily producing and cooking up beats, Sanity Clause plays with fictional and nonfictional themes and such as ghosts, monsters, carnivals, horror stories, mental health, and astrology, with an abstract array of trippy stop-motion animations and cartoons for music videos.
The duo has played one mini-tour, released two albums, and four animated music videos, with a fifth one arriving on March 16th. Their latest release is the song entitled “Puddle of Power”, which is about the puddle at the bottom of the puddle when you hit rock bottom, and how perspective determines what something is. For example, a puddle can be seen as dirty water, or it can be a mirror.
Both the song and stop-motion-animated visual, which we’ve designated as our NN Music Video of the Week, were written, recorded, produced, animated and directed by Ryan Knox.
