NN Song of the Week: “Sunday” by Blu, Produced by Haji Outlaw

Los Angeles based lyricist extraordinaire Blu links up with multi-hyphenate producer Haji Outlaw on the brand new track entitled “Sunday”. The song is a spookily jazzy tune that feels pulled from a bygone era on a not too distant planet, and is ripped lyrically by a vicious yet conscious verse from Blu.

The track begins with the undeniable voice of Morgan Freeman and ends with the poignant words of Ossie Davis. “Sunday” is the kind of song that will pack a punch a decade later. Blu’s career has now spanned over nearly 20 years and features the classic album, “Below The Heavens”, not to mention Blu’s superb work with Madlib, The Roots, Nottz, Oh No and more. Chicago based Haji Outlaw continues his string of impressive releases, which include Kool Keith, J. Arrr and upcoming songs from Chris Crack, not to mention his writing and comedy releases.

Check out our newly designated NN Song of the Week right now, and connect with Blu and Haji Outlaw on their social media.
