European rap artist Papa Aashi Drops new song boyz II men

Amsterdam-based artist Papa Aashi is once again breaking boundaries with his latest release, "boyz II men", which has been designated our brand new NN Song of the Week. Hailing from the cultural crossroads of Kazakhstan and Ireland, this Brussels-born musician is spearheading the evolution of European Hip-Hop with his unique blend of influences and a fresh perspective on storytelling.

Papa Aashi's multicultural upbringing, fueled by diverse surroundings, relationships, friendships, and lifestyle, has woven a rich tapestry that profoundly shapes his creativity and distinctive writing style. With a penchant for exploring the darker corners of his mind and seamlessly intertwining with fun, groovy flows, Papa Aashi navigates through his own genre-bending production style, leaving listeners captivated.

From his early days DJing mainstream EDM to immersing himself in Underground Trap, Papa Aashi has metamorphosed into a new-age Rapper and Hip-Hop Producer, laser-focused on honing his sound and carving his unique lane in the music scene.

Following the success of his debut album, "ARIA" (2021), Papa Aashi united forces with The Traumatised, his band and core musical collaborators. After a stellar first headline show at the Folklore in London in April 2022, a highly anticipated European tour is on the horizon.

His new track "boyz II men" is a testament to Papa Aashi's musical evolution. With a funky, groovy dance flair reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar's "These Walls", the track showcases Aashi's signature groove timbre and melodies. The song boasts a chant-worthy chorus coupled with undeniably smooth verses, creating a compelling musical experience for listeners.

Over the past year, Aashi has graced the stages of prominent clubs in Amsterdam and London, including box-park and doña. With a treasure trove of unreleased music ready to drop, Papa Aashi is undoubtedly a name to watch out for in 2024.
